Jumpstart Session

On Sunday 12th October Eventful Management hosted a JumpStart session. This JumpStart session addressed the challenges of deploying and sustaining SAP BI as an enterprise solution to manage business's performance.

SAP BI - Can it Really be Implemented as an Enterprise Solution?

  • How successful have you (and other organisations) been in implementing and sustaining an enterprise solution using SAP BI?
  • How does the SAP BI and FPM roadmaps position SAP to actually serve as an enterprise solution?
  • What does it take to achieve a successful and sustainable solution using SAP BI?
This session is aimed at addressing these questions and validating Deloitte's hypothesis that SAP BI7 can, and has been, deployed as an enterprise wide performance management solution. The forum will draw on Deloitte's 2008 study, SAP BI - An Enterprise Solution, providing both qualitative and quantitative empirical evidence gathered from Australian and International clients.

Specifically this session will examine:

  • Who has implemented an enterprise solution with SAP BI to manage business performance?
  • How successful were they in implementing and sustaining the solution?
  • What are the key factors that result in success or failure?
  • What the new BI (including BO) and FPM roadmaps mean for future programs
  • Is the BIA a pre-requisite for an enterprise solution?
  • What distinguishes enterprise solutions - are they worth the effort?
You will have an opportunity to:

  1. Understand what a performance management culture is
  2. Gain an overview of the study and key findings
  3. Gain a detailed understanding of the SAP BI and FPM roadmaps
  4. Participate in a facilitated round table discussion that lets you debate with the experts the future direction of SAP BI and FPM and what alternatives are available

This session helped delegates understand if SAP BI and FPM are the right solutions to support a performance management culture and what you need to ensure a successful and sustainable solution. You will understand how the future roadmaps from SAP fit in your Performance Management strategy, and have a ball debating it with the so called experts!

If you'd like to register the JumpStart session, please indicate so on the registration form.
