The Mentors are subject-matter experts who are passionate about SAP and share their opinions and insights with the community. They also have early access to information on products and programs and greater visibility in the on line communities as well as at SAP events such as SAP TechEd and Mastering SAP Technologies.

Before joining SAP Labs in 2006, Thomas was an applications developer for a SAP customer company. He was involved in SAP implementations at this customer as an ABAP Developer for nearly 10 years. Tony has been working with SAP software since 1986. He installed the first SAP R/2 system in Australia for Mobil Oil in 1989. Tony has several years of Basis experience with large companies including National Australia Bank, Telstra, Coles Myer and BHP Billiton. Tony is keen on SAP NetWeaver system and landscape design, extracting the best out of the database, operating system, disk subsystem, and server platform. He is very keen to vitrualise, consolidate and reduce downtime. Most recently, Tony has deployed SAP Solution Manager for Australia Post as an initiative to reduce support costs, introduce proactive capability, and manage change. This year Tony presented 5 sessions during SAP TechEd 2009 in Phoenix as an SAP Mentor. His presentations always contain lots of hands on content and a story from the field.

Gretchen Lindquist

Gretchen Lindquist has worked in SAP security for Halliburton since their first SAP implementation project which kicked off in January 1997. Gretchen has worked on a wide range of SAP deployment and upgrade projects, most recently the deployment of a web-based user provisioning toolset. Currently her main focus is on regulatory compliance, particularly the controls and systems that are in scope for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) compliance. Gretchen has held a variety of roles as a volunteer for the Americas’ SAP User Group (ASUG) and she is proud to be an SAP Mentor again in 2009-2010. Her blogs can be read on SDN and on ASUG.com. Prior to working on the SAP implementation project, Gretchen was a financial analyst for Halliburton’s IT department. She also worked in general accounting for the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co, where she deployed a data management toolset in several McKinsey offices both inside and outside the USA. Gretchen is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and holds bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Ingo Hilgefort started in 1999 with Seagate Software/Crystal Decisions as a trainer and consultant. He moved to Walldorf for Crystal Decisions by the end of 2000 and worked with the SAP NetWeaver BI development team on integrating Crystal Reports with SAP BW. He then relocated to Vancouver in 2004 and worked as a product manager/program manager (engineering) on the integration of BusinessObjects products with SAP products. He now focuses on the topic of Embedded Analytics for the SAP Solutions.
